| Application | A form used for making a request; a form to request an interview. |
| Data sheet | A resume, a summary of the main points of a person's accomplishments, education, and interest. |
| Employee | A person employed by another usually for wages or salary and in a postion below the executive level. |
| Employer | A person or company who provides a job that pays wages or a salary. |
| Follow-up letter | A letter written after an interview by the application to the interviewer |
| Interview | A formal consultation or meeting, usually to gain information or evaluate equalifications. |
| Letter of application | A letter written giving personal information and qualifications to be considered to obtain a particular job. |
| References | Individuals to whom inquiries concerning character and abilities may be made. |
