What is the purpose of copyright? The purpose of copyright is to protect the creator of a creative work.
What is infringement? Infringement is the act of violating a copyright by copying the work without permission and authorization from the original creator.
What will happen if you infringe on someone else's copyright? If you infringe on someone's copyrighted work, you could be sued.
What is fair use? Fair use allows copyrighted work to be purposed and used in another work.
What are some examples of small proportions using fair use? Education, commentary or criticism,and news or reporting.
What is software? software is a program that tells a computer what to do.
What are some different types of software? Some different types of software include: Microsoft office, Microtype, Micropace pro
What is copyrighted software? Copyrighted software is software that is legally protected against copying or being used without paying for it.

What is public domain? Public domain software is non-copyrighted software that anyone may copy or use without charge.
What is shareware Shareware is copyrighted software that may be tried without expense but requires payment if you decide to use it.

What is freeware? Freeware is software on the web that is freely available ( but remains a copyright).
What are some examples of freeware software? Some examples of freeware include: Mozilla fire-fox, adobe flash player, and quick time player.
What is Piracy? The act of stealing private or valuable property by copying software, music, graphics, and books( all available on the internet).
What is hacking? Breaking into computers to read private emails and other files( hackers delete or attach files)
What is identity theft? Occurs when someone appropriates anther's personal information without their knowledge to commit theft or fraud.
What is releasing worms or viruses? Intentionally releasing a virus or worm to harm others or attack networks.
