What is copyright? The legal right of ownership to the work produced in books, music, plays,pictures and software.
What does copyright protect? Tangible expression of ideas.
What is the main purpose of copyright? To protect the creator of a creative work.
What happens if you infringe on someone else's copyright? You can be sued.
What is infringement? Act of a copyright by copying or distributing copyrighted work without permission.
What does fair use allow? Copyrighted work to be repurposed and used in another work.
What is software? Programs that tell a computer what to do.
What are some different types of software? Microsoft Office Micro type Micro Pace Pro
What is copyright software? Software that is legally protected against copying or being used without paying for it.
Some ex. of copyrighted software include: Micro Type Microsoft Office Micro Pace Pro
What is public domain software? Non-copyrighted software that anyone may copy or use without charge.
What is shareware? Copyrighted software that nay be tried without expense but requires payment if you decide to use it.

What is freeware? Software on the web that is freely available
Some ex. of freeware include: Mozilla Firefox Adobe FlashPlayer Quick Time Player
Piracy is... The act of stealing valuable property by copying software,music,graphics,movies and books.
Hacking is... Breaking into computers to read private e-mails and other files.
Identity theft: Occurs when someone appropriates another's personal information without their knowledge to commit theft or fraud.
Releasing Virus Worms: Intentionally releasing a virus or worm to harm others or attack networks.
