What is copyright? Legal right of ownership to the work produced in- books, music, plays, graphics/pictures and computer software.
What protects copyright? Tangible expression of ideas.
What's the purpose of copyright? Is to protect the creator of creative work.
What is Infringement? Is the act of violating a copyright by copying or other wise distributing a copyrighted work without permission or authorization.
What will happen if you infringe on somebody? If you infringe on somebody else's work you will be sewed.
What happens if you do use fair use? It allows copyrighted work to be repurposed and used in another work.
What does copyrighted material mean? It means that it is used for education, commentary or criticism, news reporting, parody or making fun of work, and using a small portion of the work and it's on side fair use.
What is software? Programs that tell a computer what to do.
What are some different types of software? Microsoft office, microtype, and micropace pro
What is copyrighted software? Software that is legally protected against copying or being used without paying for it. Examples are microtype, microsoft office, and micropace pro.
What is public domain software? Non-copyrighted software that anyone may copy or use without change.
What is shareware? Copyrighted software that may be tried without expense but requires payment if you decide to use it. Examples are banner maker pro and tune up utilities 2009.
What is freeware? Software on the web that is freely available ( but retains a copyright). Examples are mozilla firefox, adobe flash player, and quick time player.
What is Piracy? The act of stealing valuable property by copying software, music, graphics/pictures, movies,and book(all available on the internet).
What is Hacking? Breaking into computers to read, private e-mails and other file (Hackers delete or alter files).
What is Identity Theft? Occurs when someone approppiaites another's personal information without their knowledge to commit theft or fraud.
What is Releasing Virus Worms? Internationally releasing a virus or warn to harm others or attack networks.
