What is copyright? Copyright is to protect the creator of a creative work.
What does copyright protect? Tangible expression of ideas.
What is the main purpose of a copyright? To protect the creator of a creative work.
What happens if you infringe on someone else’s copyright? You can be sued.
What determines if a copyright work is “fair use”? If a copyrighted material is used for the following: Education Commentary or criticism News reporting Parody or making fun of work Using a small portion of the work
What would be an example of a derivative work based on a book? A screenplay for a movie based on the book.
What is piracy? The act of stealing valuable property by copying software music, graphis.
What is hacking? Breaking into computers to read private e-mails and other files.
What is identity Theft? Occurs when someone appropriates another's personal information without their knowledge.
Releasing Virus worms Intentionally releasing viruses or worm to harm others or attack networks.
