What is Copyright? Copyright is the legal right of ownership to the work produced in books, music, plays, graphics/pictures in computer software.
What does Copyright protect? Copyright protects tangible expression of ideas.
What is the purpose of Copyright? The purpose of Copyright is to protect the creator of a creative work.
What is Infringement? Infringement is the ACT of violating copyright by coping of others disturbing by copyrighted work without permission or authorization.
What happens when you infringe? If you infringe on someone else's copyright you can be sued.
What is Fair Use? Fair Use allows copyrighted work to be re purposed and used in another work.
What are examples of Fair Use? -Education -Commentary System -Parody of Making Fun of Work -Using a small portion of the work. These are all considered Fair Use.
What are examples of Derivative Work? - an example would be a screenplay for a movie.
What are some different types of software? Microsoft Office Microtype Micropace Pro
What is copyrighted software? Software that is legally protected agaist copying or being used without paying for it.
What are examples of copyrights software? -Microtype -Microsoft Office - Micropace Pro
What is public domain? - Non-copyrighted software that anyone may copy use without charge.
What is shareware? Copyrighted software that may be tried without expense but requires payment if you decide to use it.

What is freeware? Software on the web that is freely available ( but retains a copyright)
What are some examples of freeware? - Mozilla Firefox -Adobe Flash Player - QuickTime Player
