Drama terms a

QuestionAnswer
Drama is meant to be PREFORMED for an audience.
Dialogue what the characters say, what action.
Gesture movements of body part.
stage directions tell the actors what to do, were to stand, what to hold.
comedy a drama with a happy ending
tragedy a drama with a tragedy or a unhappy ending.
tragic flaw the quality, belief, personality trait that leads to a characters death or down fall.
1 act play a drama with few scene usually less then a hours.
full length play many characters, many scenes many conflicts usually last 2 hours or more.
monologue long speech by a character on stage other characters can be her the monologue
aside a brief comment made by a to another character or the audience.
soliloquy a long speech made by a character in which his/her thought and feeling a reveled usually not meant to be heard by other characters.
