What is a computer virus? A tiny program that spreads to computers and causes trouble. -replicate/spread -spread to other computers -through email attached
What are some symptoms of having a computer virus? -they can spread from one computer to another -they can delete files can cause system to act slow on shut down.
What is a worm? A program that looks for security holes in computer networks.
What is a network? Groups of computers that are connected.
what are Trojan horse? Not a virus because they cannot copy themselves. destructive hardware disguised as something good, open in a something bad will happened to your computer. -wipes out files
Where do computer virus and worms come from? People make them -it is against the law to make worms and virus with the attention to harm your computers
How can you protect your computer against viruses? - do not open up emails you don't know - download anti-virus protect hardware on your computer - never accept unknown downloads
