what is a computer virus? A tiny program that spread through your computer and cause trouble.
How does a computer virus spreed? It makes copies of itself.
What is a worm? Looks for security holes in a network.
what is a network? Groups of computers connected.
What is a trojan horse? A destructive piece of software, digusied as something good.
where do computer viruses and worms come from? People make them.
How can you protect your computer against viruses? Don't open or download things you don't know.
What is a software? A programs that tell a computer what to do.
What are some different types of software? Microsoft office , Microtype, MicroPace Pro
what is copyrighted software? Software that is legally protected against copying or being used without paying for it.
What is Public Domain software? non copyrighted software that anyone may copy or use without charge.
What is shareware? Copyrighted software that may be tried without expense but requires payment if you decide to use it.
What is freeware? software on the web that is freely available but retains a copyright?
Some examples of freeware include: Mozilla firefox, adobe flash palyer, quick time player.
