Parts of a PC

QuestionAnswer
What is a QR code? Quick Response code, matrix barcode, large storage capacity compared to UPC barcodes, able to be decoded at high speeds, used for promos
What is a UPC? Universal Product Code, barcode symbology, for tracking trade items,
What is a database? Used to store information, organized collection of data for one or more purposes, usually in digital form.
Hard Drive Used for storing and retrieving digital information, primarily computer data.
CPU Central Processing Unit, carries out the instructions of a computer program, to perform the basic arithmetical, logical, and input/ output operations of the system.
RAM Random-Access Memory, comp data storage, integrated circuits that allows stored data to be accessed in any order with a worst case performance of constant time.
CD Drive Uses the laser light or electromagnetic waves near the light spectrum as a part of the process of reading or writing data to/ from disc.
Graphics Card Generates output images to a display.
Motherboard Central printed circuit board (PCB) in many modern computers and holds many of the crucial components of the system, providing connectors for other peripherals.
Power Supply Device that supplies electrical energy to one or more electric loads. The term is most commonly applied to devices that convert one form of electrical energy to another.
Expansion Slots Specific slots on a PC motherboard that facilitate the placement of expansion cards.
