what foreshadows in the story? Jack tells Pierre that he can see Joseph and Pierre says he cant ; foreshadows that Pierre is blind. Pierre doesn't have to keep a written record of who buys extra milk or cream ; foreshadows that Pierre is blind
was there any suspense in the story? the truck hits Pierre . . . the title - you want to keep reading to discover the secret
what is the theme of the story? the theme is not to be fooled by appearance. friendship matters
person vs nature Pierre was working in cold weather. Joseph dies because of cold weather.
