high pitch tinnitus is generally caused by LV excess
low pitch tinnitus is generally caused by KD def
A purple flush to the face is a sign of true cold
A bright pale face is a sign of def or false cold
A face which is fully flushed is a sign of true heat
A malor flush is a sign of false heat
Dull epigastric pain is a notable sign of ST Qi Def
Lower abdominal pain and loose stools is indicative of SP Qi Def
Pain that is dull in nature indicates Deficiency
In skin Bi you should use this type of insertion shallow
In bone, tendon, vessel bi you should use this kind of insertion deep insertion/long retention
For painful & vessel bi add moxa
For fixed, muscle and bone bi, all of these treatments are appropriate needle, moxa, cupping
This is the crossing point for all yang channels DU14
A yangming headache is in these channels and manifests in this region LI/ST; frontal
A dull frontal headache indicates ST def
A sharp frontal headache indicates ST heat
A shaoyang headache is in this channel and is typically due to TH/GB; LV yang rising, LV fire or LV wind
A taiyang headache is in this channel and occurs in this region BL/SI, occipital
A jueyin headache is in this channel and manifests here. LV/PC; vertex & behind the eyes
This pattern causes dull pain that is improved by lying down BL def
