What is ESD, and how do you prevent it? ESD stands for electro-static discharge, and you ground yourself to prevent it.
What does PC stand for, and who patented it? PC stands for personal computer, and IBM patented it.
what is the CPU's main function? The CPU acts as the brain of the computer, and controls all functions.
What do peripheral devices do? They perform basic I/O functions.
What is the system unit? It houses all of the system components that make the PC work. It is always beige.
What is the hard drive? The primary long-term storage device for the PC.
What is the motherboard? It is the main connection for PC components.
