Total Range The range between the lghtest aand darkest parts of an image
Chanel A category of information related to a colror range.
Bit Depth The number of bits used to describe a pixel.
Brightness Adjusts the relative lightness or darkness of an image.
Contrast The difference between the darkest and lightest porttions of an image.
Shadows The darkest part of an image that still has visible detail
Highlights The lightest part of an that still has visible detail
Hue A specific wavelength of light forming a color
Saturation The intensity or purity of a color in an image.
Warm light Light that has reds, yellows, or oranges added to it.
Cool light Lights thst have blues, purples, and greens added to it
Filter In editor a feature that alters the appearence of an image by adding visual effects to it.
Electromagnetic spectrum The full range of wavelengths that compose light
White light Wavelengths of light visible to the human eye
Additive primary colors The primary colors red, green, and blu, which combine to form all other colors in light.
Subtractive primary colors Pigments created by subtracting cyan, magneta, yellow, and black from white.
Fade The number of brush marks before the color fades out
Jitter The rate at which the stokes use the background and foreground colors
Scatter The erea included in brush mark distrubution
Barreling Distortion that causes the appearence of outward curve; also known as fish-eye distortion.
Pincushion Pinched distortion
Transformation Altering an item by modifying its physcial qualities
Histogram A vertical graph showing the brightness levels in an image, ranging from darkest (left) to lightest (right)
