Tonal Range the range between the brightest and darkest parts of an image .

Channel a category of information related to a color image .
Bit Depth the number of bits used to describe a pixel
Brightness adjust the relative lightness or darkness of an image
Contrast the difference between the darkest and lightest portions of an image
Shadows the darkest part of an image that still has vsible detail
Higlights lightest areas of an image
Hue a specific wavelength of light forming a a color
Saturation the intensity or purity of a color in an image
Warm Light light that has reds , yellows , or oranges added to it
Cool Light light that has blues , greens , and purples added to it
Filter a feature that alters the appearance to of an image by adding visual affects to it
Electromagnetic Spectrum the full range of wavelengths that compose light
White Light wavelengths of light visible to the human eye
Additive Primary Colors the primary colors red , green , and blue , which combine to form all other colors in light
Subtractive Primary Colors pigments created by subtracting cyan , magenta , yellow , and black from white
Fade the number of brush , marks before the color fades out
Jitter the rate at which the stroke uses the background and foreground colors
Scatter brush dynamic control that affects the distribution of the brush marks
Barrelling ( Fish Eye ) distortion that causes the appearance of outward curve ; also known as fish - eye distortion
