What is hue? the color itself
What are the secondary colors? violet, green, orange
What are the primary colors? red,blue,yellow
what are the tertiary colors? Red-violet Blue-violet Blue-green Yellow-green Yellow-orange Red-orange
What is a saturated color? a shade mixed with pure back
What three groups make up the color wheel? secondary, tertiary, primary
What is a tint? a saturated color that is mixed with pure white color.
What is a shade? A shade is a saturated color that is mixed with pure black color.
What are three colors that are considered to be warm colors red, orange, yellow
What are three colors that are considered to be cool colors? violet, blue, green
What are the five neutral colors? Black, Grey, White, Brown, & Tan
What are the six types of color harmonies? Monochromatic, Analogous, Complementary, Triadic, Split Complementary, Neutral
What is a monochromatic color harmony? They are achieved by using tints and shades of only one color
What is an analougus color harmony? three or more colors that are next to each other on the color wheel
What is a complementary color harmony? Two colors that are directly across from each other on the color wheel
What is a triadic color harmony? Three colors that are located within equal distance of each other
What is a split complementary scheme? created by using any color and the two colors located next to that colors complement
What is a neutral color scheme? Any combination of Blacks, Greys, Whites, Browns, & Tans
