Word | Definition |

Cell | Spreadsheets are made up of rows and columns, which form a table or grid. A cell is a specific location within a spreadsheet and is defined by the intersection of a row and column. |
Formula | Is simply a calculation that is performed on one or more variables. |
Cell address | The destination on a worksheet indicated by the column header and the row header. (example) B4, A2, B7 |
=Roundup(B3,2) | To round up in excel. |
=Average(C5, c25) | To average numbers in excel. |
=b2*b3 | To multiply in excel. |
=c9-c10 | To subtract in excel. |
=d4/d5 | To divide in excel. |
=e1+e2 | To add in excel. |
Autosum | Adding up all the numbers highlighted. |
work sheet | a single page or sheet in a spreadsheet program such as Excel. |
sheet tab | The tab at the bottom of excel that you can choose between spreadsheets. |
formula bar | Located above the work area of the spreadsheet. The formula bar displays the data or formula stored in the active cell. |
workbook | A spreadsheet file. By default, each workbook in Excel contains three pages or worksheets. |
Web Host | In order to publish a website online, you need a Web host. The Web host stores all the pages of your website and makes them available to computers connected to the Internet. |
Annotation | A note that is made while reading any form of text. Explains what the website is about. |
Search | To locate specific information. |
Keyword | words or phrases that describe content. They can be used as metadata to describe images, text documents, database records, and Web pages. |
Search engine | Designed to search for information on the World Wide Web. |
How do you determine if the author of a website is an expert? | By doing a background check for college degrees and reviews. |
Why does it matter who (or what company/organization) provides the funding of a website? | To see if it is a real organization. |
How do you determine the accuracy or validity of a website? | Find another source. |
Where is the title of a website located? | At the top of the browser near on the tab bar. |
Where is the author of a website located? | Usually on the FAQ page or at the bottom of the home page. |
Where is the date of a website found? | Usually at the bottom or on the FAQ page. |
