| Cell | specific location within a spreadsheet and is defined by the intersection of a row and column. |
| Cell Address | the destination on a worksheet indicated by the column header and the row header (example: D2,B4,H7) |
| Formula | this is simply a calculation that is performed on one or more variables. |
| =Roundup (B3,2) | round the data in cell address B3 to the nearest hundred |
| =Average (C5,C25) | finding the average of the data in cell C5 through 25 |
| =b2*b3 | multiplying the data in B2 to the data in B3 |
| =C9-C10 | subtracting the data in C9 to the data in C10 |
| =D4/D5 | dividing the data in D4 to the data in D5 |
| =E1+E2 | adding the data in E1 to the data in E2 |
| Autosum | A function in a spreadsheet program that inserts a formula in the selected cell that adds the numbers in the column above it. It sets the range of cells by looking for numeric data above the selected cell |
| Worksheet | a single page or sheet in a spreadsheet program such as Excel. |
| Workbook | a spreadsheet file |
| Sheet Tab | tabs at the bottom of a spread sheet that can be renamed and customized |
| Formula Bar | displays the data or formula stored in the active cell. |
| Web Host (or just) Host | computer that acts as a server for other computers on a network. |
| Annotation | a critical or explanatory note or body of notes added to a text. |
| Search | to locate specific websites |
| Search Engine | Google, Excite, Lycos, AltaVista, Infoseek, and Yahoo are all this |
| Keyword | are words or phrases that describe content. |
| How do you determine if the author of a website is an expert? | do a background check and search for them on Google |
| Why does it matter who (or what company / organization) provides the funding of a website? | to know if the author is real or has a fake name |
| How do you determine the accuracy or validity of a website? | to compare it to other websites and see if the information is accurate |
| Where is the title of a website located? | the tab and the title bar |
| Where is the author of a website located? | usually at the bottom of the homepage and sometimes at the bottom of all of the pages |
| Where is the date of a website found? | at the bottom with the author and there privacy settings |
