| Cell | is a specific location within a spreadsheet and is defined by the intersection of a row and column. Since most spreadsheets use numbers to define rows and letters to define columns, cells are often referenced by a letter and number combination. |
| Cell Address | the destination on a worksheet indicated by the column header and the row header |
| Formula | is simply a calculation that is performed on one or more variables. |
| =Roundup(B3,2) | round the data in cell address B3 to the second decimal place |
| =Average(C5, c25) | add C5 to C25 then divide them by 2 |
| =b2*b3 | multiply b2 and b3 |
| =c9-c10 | subtract c9 from c10 |
| =d4/d5 | divide d4 by d5 |
| =e1+e2 | add e1 and e2 |
| Autosum | adds up all the highlighted numbers |
| Worksheet | is a single page or sheet in a spreadsheet program such as Excel. |
| Workbook | is a spreadsheet file. By default, each workbook in Excel contains three pages or worksheets. |
| Sheet Tab | is a tab at the bottom of a spread sheet that can be renamed and you can customize it |
| Formula Bar | is located above the work area of the spreadsheet. The formula bar displays the data or formula stored in the active cell. The formula bar can be used to enter or edit a formula, a function, or data in a cell. |
| Web Host | stores all the pages of your website and makes them available to computers connected to the Internet |
| Annotation | an explanation of what a website is about |
| Search Engine | can locate relevant Web sites when users enter search terms or phrases. When you are looking for something using a search engine, it is a good idea to use words like AND, OR, and NOT to specify your search |
| Keyword | are words or phrases that describe content |
| Search | To locate information or websites. |
| How do you determine if the author of a website is an expert? | They have a place where you can contact them and you can also Google them and read about them and find out if they have a degree in that area. |
| Why does it matter who (or what company/organization) provides the funding of a website? | You want it to be someone that is trustworthy |
| How do you determine the accuracy or validity of a website? | If a lot of the websites have the same information |
| Where is the title of a website located? | the tab and the title bar |
| Where is the author of a website located? | Usually on the top or bottom of the page |
| Where is the date of a website found? | on the bottom of the homepage |
