| HTML | Stands for "Hyper-Text Markup Language." |
| HTTP | Stands for "Hyper Text Transfer Protocol." ("http://") |
| HTTPS | Stands for "Hyper Text Transport Protocol Secure." HTTPS is the same thing as HTTP, but uses a secure socket layer (SSL) for security purposes. |
| Serial Port | A serial port can only transmit one bit of data at a time. |
| Parallel Port | This is found on the back of older PCs. |
