Hyperlink A hyperlink is a word, phrase, or image that you can click on to jump to a new page.
Link When you are browsing the Web and you see a highlighted and underlined word or phrase on a page.
Webpage Web pages are what make up the World Wide Web.An individual HTML document
Website A website, or Web site, is not the same thing as a Web page.
HTML Stands for "Hyper-Text Markup Language."
HTTP Stands for "Hyper Text Transfer Protocol." ("http://")
HTTPS Stands for "Hyper Text Transport Protocol Secure." HTTPS is the same thing as HTTP, but uses a secure socket layer (SSL) for security purposes.
Serial Port A serial port can only transmit one bit of data at a time.
Parallel Port This is found on the back of older PCs.
USB Ports It can be used to connect keyboards, mice, game controllers, printers, scanners etc. .
Webmaster The webmaster is the person in charge of maintaining a Web site.
Domain Name This is the name that identifies an Web site.
Domain Suffix .com, .net, .org, .au, .cn, .de .edu, .gov,
Encryption Encryption is the coding or scrambling of information.
log in A log in is a combination of information that authenticates your identity.
log out not to turn off but like to put it on sleep mode.
cookie A cookie is a small amount of data generated by a website and saved by your web browser.
Screen Shot A screen shot, or screen capture, is a picture taken of your computer's desktop.
Upload Uploading is sending a file from your computer to another system.
Download This is the process in which data is sent to your computer.
Auto Fill Cursor You can use this cursor to repeat things or fill in a series
Select Mode Cursor normal mode, most common
Click and Drag Cursor same thing as cutting and pasting, but much quicker.
Resizing Cursor thick black line with two arrows intersecting it, change size of rows and columns.
