Premiere Terms for Chapter 1

Adobe Media Encoder Is a stand-alone encoding application used by Premiere Pro, to export your movie to a format appropriate for movies.
MPEG-2 The file format is the compression standard for DVD video.
Progressive Video looks like streaming video because it plays the movie without interruption.
Keyframes Can be adjusted by clicking and dragging them to adjust the speed at which an effect takes place.
Ripple Delete Command that removes a clip from a sequence without leaving any gaps if the clip being removed is located between two other clips.
Time ruler In the Timeline panel, this measures the time in a sequence horizontally.
Montage A video created with digital images, words, transitions, and music.
Timeline Panel is where you assemble assets and edit them.
Shift The key you press and hold to select more than one contiguous file from where your data files are stored.
Media Browser that provides a convenient way to locate, sort, preview, and import assets that you plan to use in your Premiere Pro project.
Opacity Adjusts the level of transparency on a scale of 0% to 100%.
Current-time Indicator In the Timeline panel, CTI stands for _____________.
Rendered A project will play a video more smoothly and much closer to real time if ___________________.
