Basic Terms

These are the Terms that I want you to know

QuestionAnswer
Rep It is the it is preforming a given exercise one time
Set It is the marker for the amount of reps you do per exercise
Concentric Contracting the muscle (usually in opposition to gravity
Isometric The holding of a muscle in place and not letting it relax
eccentric It is when you are bringing the muscle back to the neutral position.
BMR Basil Metabolic Rate
RMR Resting Metabolic Rate
Carbohydrate It is the primary energy source of the body
Protein The muscle building macro-nutrient
Fat A macro nutrient that is important for maintaining different body functions
Cardio Is the section of your workout that is meant to strengthen your heart.
