Properties of routing

What is a router's job? The primary function is to send packets from one network to another.
What is an Autonomous System? Is a group of IP routes under common control, ie; Independent Network.
Interior Gateway Protocol Routes within an AS but not designed to route between AS

External Gateway Protocol Used to route between autonomous systems
