Shoulder Girdle Musc


Pectoralis Minor Anterior O: anterior surface of ribs 4-5 I: coracoid process A: downward rotation and Protraction.
Serratus Anterior Posterior, but anterior to the scapula O: ribs 1-9 at mid section I: anterior medial border of scpula A: scapular protraction, upward rotation.
Upper Trapezius Posterior O: base of skull, occiput I: posterior lateral 1/3 clavicle A: elevation.
Middle Trapezius Posterior O: spinous process of 7th cervical and 1-3 thoracic vertebra I: medial acromion process scapular spine A: elevation, upward rotation, retraction.
Lower Trapezius Posterior O: spinous process of 4-12 thoracic vertebra I: inferior medial scapular spine A: upward rotation, depression.
Rhomboids Posterior O: spinous process of C7-T5 I: Medial border of scapula A: retraction, downward rotation.
Levator Scapulae Posterior O: Transverse process of C1-C4 I: medial border of scapula A: elevation (levator).
