glucose glycosuria seen in diabetes mellitus
bilirubin hemolysis
ketones (2 terms) ketoacidosis/diabetes mellitus
specific gravity dehydration (high specific gravity) or diabetes insipidus (lack ADH) (low specific gravity)
erythrocytes/hemoglobin/blood (2-3 causes) hematuria, traumatic damage to urinary tract or kidney
pH 4.5 = very acidic (high protein diet); 8.2 = very alkaline (vegetarian diet)
protein (3 causes) proteinuria, kidney damage, pregnancy
urobilinogen (UBG) hemolytic anamia, liver damage
nitrites (NIT) bacterial infection
leukocytes (LEU) infection, various causes
