| bilirubin | hemolysis |
| ketones (2 terms) | ketoacidosis/diabetes mellitus |
| specific gravity | dehydration (high specific gravity) or diabetes insipidus (lack ADH) (low specific gravity) |
| erythrocytes/hemoglobin/blood (2-3 causes) | hematuria, traumatic damage to urinary tract or kidney |
| pH | 4.5 = very acidic (high protein diet); 8.2 = very alkaline (vegetarian diet) |
| protein (3 causes) | proteinuria, kidney damage, pregnancy |
| urobilinogen (UBG) | hemolytic anamia, liver damage |
| nitrites (NIT) | bacterial infection |
| leukocytes (LEU) | infection, various causes |
