Blue Period A period (1901-1904) of monochromatic cool-toned paintings inspired by the death of Carles Casagemas.

Dora Maar Picasso's lover and muse who was the subject of the "Weeping Woman" series and documented the creation of Guernica.

Synthetic Cubism The later phase of Cubism featuring brighter colors, simpler shapes, and the integration of collage elements.
