Which semi-quantitative method is used to screen for a multitude of precipitants that may be in a patient's urine, typically indicative of infection or disease state? Dipstick/Multistix
What is the principle of glucose testing on dipsticks? glucose reacts to glucose oxidase to form hydrogen peroxide, which changes the color
Dark yellow urine is typically an indicator for dehydration or fever
Which disease state will cause straw urine? polyuria
Define Oliguria when a patient excretes less than 500ml of urine/24hrs
