"I" Notecards for Test

Demonstrate copy, cut, and paste keyboard equivalents To copy, press "Ctrl + C". To cut, press "Ctrl + X". To paste, press "Ctrl + V". Use these to move text, images, links, or other items on your computer.
Compare differences between plain text and HTML (i.e., text with markup) HTML can include images, colors, fonts, videos, and interactive elements, while plain text has none of these.
Use spell check To use spell check, right-click words with red squiggly lines to see corrections. You can also use the Review tab’s “Editor/Spelling & Grammar” tool for a full check.
Use review features To review a document in Microsoft Word or Google Docs, click “Review” to access tools that help check and edit your work.
Demonstrate find/replace Press "Ctrl + F" to find a word. Press "Ctrl + H" to replace a word, choosing to replace one or all instances.
Select text or cells To select text or cells, drag to highlight, double-click a word, triple-click a sentence, or hold "Ctrl" and click multiple items.
Demonstrate redo and undo Use the undo and redo buttons in the top-left corner, or press "Ctrl + Z" to undo and "Ctrl + Y" to redo.
Demonstrate drag and drop To drag and drop, click or tap and hold an item, move it to a new location, and release.
Understand read-only view Some sites have a “Reader View” you can turn on or off, or use the “A” button to switch to it.
Understand protected mode Protected Mode in a browser isolates unsafe content, limits hardware access, prevents data leaks, and blocks malware. You can enable it in settings or developer options.
Demonstrate magnification To use screen magnification, go to Settings → Accessibility → Magnification and enable it. Then triple-click the screen or pinch out on a touchscreen.
