What strange dangers threatens the town? A powerful "Death Ray of Death" causes serious destruction.
How does Zeke feel about changes happening around him? He feels anxious and worried that his friendships are changing.
What happens to Zeke's house? It is destroyed by the Death Ray of Death.
Who are some of Zeke's friends? Daniel (the human) and Meil (the hawk)
What problem does Meil struggle with? He struggles to control his instincts when faced with the new fish student.
What must Zeke do as the story goes on? He must face his fears, trust his friends, and help save the day.
What is the main theme of the book? Friendship and learning how to handle change.
How does the book show that change can be difficult? Zeke feels confused and scared when things don't stay the same.
