"The child ... like mad" The child is watching the tea kettles small hard tears dance like mad
"her teacup ... chilly" Her teacup full of brown tears. She shivers and says she thinks the house feels chilly
"It was ..." It was to be, says the Marvel Stove

"the child ..." The child draws another inscrutable house"
