Bradykinesia: Extreme slowness in movement.
Polymyositis: Muscle disease characterized by the simultaneous inflammation of multiple voluntary muscles.
Condition where there is an insuffucuebt supply of blood to an organ or tissue: Ischemia
Vavuloplasty: Surgical repair of a heart valve.
Word Root: Angi/o Blood or lymph vessel
Type of cancer characterized by a progressive increase in the number of abnormal white blood cells: Leukemia.
The process of stopping bleeding through the formation of a clot: Hemostasis.
Blood poisoning; The presence of pathogenic microorganisms or their toxins in the blood: Septicemia.
Thoracentesis: Surgical puncture to remove fluid from the pleural cavity.
Eructation: The act of belching or raising gas orally from the stomach.
Uremia (Azotemia): A buildup of waste products in the blood due to kidney failure.
A hormone produced by the thyroid that works with PTH to regulate (lower) calcium levels: Calcitonin.
Inflammation of the bladder: Cystitis.
Age-related loss of muscle mass and strength: Sarcopenia.
