What Is A Masthead? Box or section printed that lists name, publisher, location, volume, and date.
What is Importing? To insert text or objects from another source.
What is a sidebar? Small piece of text, set off with a graphic or box, placed in an article.
What is a pull quote? An excerpt from the main article to highlight the ideas or attract readers.
What is the clipboard? A temporary storage area.
What is drag-and-drop editing. Dragging a selected item to a new location and drop it there.
What is a header? Text and graphics that print at the top of each page.
What is a footer? Text and graphics that print at the bottom of every page.
What is a tag? A custom file property used to help find and organize files.
What is duplex printing? Prints on both sides before printing.
What is the rename command? Changing the name of the page.
What is a continued from notice? A note that states text is being continued from a previous page.
What is a color scheme? A set of colors that are used on a template that complement each other.
What is the backspace key? A method of deleting previous text or objects.
What is a caption? A description of a picture or object.
What is portrait orientation? Pictures that are taller than they are wide.
What is a design gallery? A group of objects that you can place in your publications, including sidebars, pull quotes, mastheads, and other individual objects.
What is a template? A tool that helps you through the design process by offering you publication options and changing your publication accordingly.
What is a tag? A custom file property used to help find and organize files.
What is whole page? A complete page.
What is a pattern set? A set of patterns that are complementary to each other.
What is a holding area? A temporary storage.
