How do you percieve white? | Occurs when all the wavelengths are reflecting back to your eye |
How do you percieve black? | When no light is reflected to your eye |
What is hue? | Refers to the color itself |
What are the primary colors? | Red, blue, yellow |
What are the secondary colors? | Violet, green, orange |
What are the teritary colors? | Red violet, blue violet, blue green, yellow green, yellow orange, red orange |
What is a saturated color? | Colors used in the color wheel (no white or black) |
What 3 groups make up the color wheel? | Primary, secondary, teritiary |
What is a tint? | Saturated color that is mixed with pure white color |
What is a shade? | Saturated color that is mixed with pure black color. |
What are three colors that are considered to be warm colors? | Red, orange, yellow |
What are three colors that are considered to be cool colors? | Blue, green, violet |
What are the five neutral colors? | Black, grey, white, brown, tan |
What are the six types of color harmonies? | Monochromatic, analogous, complementary, triadic, split complimentary, neutrals |
What is a monochromatic color harmony? | Using tints and shades of only one color |
What is an analougus color harmony? | Three or more colors that are next to eachother on the color wheel |
What is a complementary color harmony? | Two colors that are directly across from eachother on the color wheel |
What is a triadic color harmony? | Three colors that are located with equal distance of each other |
What is a split complementary scheme? | Any color and the two colors located next to that colors compliment |
What is a neutral color scheme? | Any compliment of blacks, greys, whites, browns, and tans |
