| Tissue | A group of similar cells working together to perform a specific function. |
| Neuron | A specialized cell that transmits electrical impulses in the nervous system |
| Muscle Tissue | A type of tissue responsible for movement, includes skeletal, cardiac, and smooth muscle. |
| Action Potential | A rapid electrical signal that travels along a neuron, allowing communication between cells. |
| Mitochondria | Organelles that produces ATP, that main energy source for cellular functions. |
| Negative Feedback | A control mechanism that reverses a change to keep the body's internal environment stable. |
| Homeostasis | The body's ability to maintain a stable internal environment despite external changes. |
| Cell Membrane | A selectively permeable barrier that controls movement of substances into and out of the cell. |
| Osmosis | The diffusion of water through a selectively permeable membrane. |
