What is hue? Hue refers to the color itself
What are the primary colors? Red, Yellow, Blue
What are the secondary colors? Violet, Green, Orange
What are the teritary colors? Red - Violet, Blue - Violet, Blue - Green, Yellow - Green, Yellow - Orange, Red Orange
What is a saturated color? A color without any white or black
What three groups make up the color wheel? Primary, Secondary, Tertiary
What is a tint? Saturated color mixed with pure white color
What is a shade? Saturated color mixed with pure black
What 3 colors are considered warm colors? Red, Orange, Yellow
What 3 colors are considered cool colors? Blue, Green, Violet
What are the 5 neutral colors? Black, Gray, White, Brown, Tan
What are the 6 types of color harmonies? Monochromatic, Analogous, Complimentary, Triadic, Split Complimentary, Neutral
What is a monochromatic color harmony? Using tints or shades of only one color
What is an analogous color harmony? Three or more colors that are next to each other on the color wheel
What is a complimentary color harmony? Two colors that are directly across from each other on the color wheel
What is a triadic color harmony? Three colors that are located within equal distance of each other
What is a split complimentary scheme? Any color and the colors on the right and left of it's compliment
What is a neutral color scheme? Combination of whites, browns, tans, blacks, and grays.
