| What is hue? | a different reflected wavelength of light |
| What are the primary colors | red, blue and yellow |
| What are the secondary colors? | voilet, green and orange |
| What are tertiary colors? | red-violet, blue-violet, blue-green, yellow-green, yellow-orange, and red-orange. |
| What is a saturated color? | a color that has no black or white |
| What three groups make up the color wheel? | primary, secondary and tertiary |
| What is a tint? | a saturated color that is mixed with pure white color |
| What is a shade? | a saturated color that is mixed with pure black color |
| What are three colors that are considered to be warm colors? | red, orange and yellow |
| What are three colors that are considered to be cool colors? | blue, green, and violet |
| What are the five neutral colors? | black, grey, white, brown and tan |
| What are the six types of color harmonies? | monochromatic, analogous, complementary, triadic, split complementary, and neutral |
| What is a monochromatic color harmony? | they are made by using tints and shades of one color |
| What is an analougus color harmony? | they are made by using three or more colors that are next to each other on the color wheel |
| What is a complementary color harmony? | two colors that are directly across from each other on the color wheel |
| What is a triadic color harmony? | three colors that are within eaqual distance of each other on the color wheel |
| What is a split complementary scheme? | they are made by using any color and two colors that are located next to that colors complement |
| What is a neutral color scheme? | any combination of blacks, greys, whites, browns, and tans |
