Color Terms

QuestionAnswer
How is color perceived? Color is perceived when any kind of light hits the surface an creates different wavelengths which strikes our eyes.
What is a tint? It's a saturated color mixed with all white.
What is hue? Hue refers to the color itself and is percevied by different reflected wavelengths of light.
What are the primary colors, secondary colors and tertiary colors? Primary colors are the three main colors in the color wheel that create all colors. Secondary colors are the colors that are made by the Primary colors. Tertiary colors are colors made by Primary and Secondary colors.
What is a shade? It's a saturated color that is mixed with pure black.
What are three colors that are considered to be warm colors? Red, Orange and Yellow.
What are three colors that are considered to be cool colors? Blue, Green and Violet.
