What are the three secondary colors? | Orange, Purple and Violet |
What is Hue? | the same as color |
What are primary colors? | The three basic colors used to create all of the other colors on the color wheel |
What are secondary colors? | The three colors that are acheived from equal parts of two primary colors |
What are tertiary colors? | They are the colors you get when you mix equal parts of a primary color and a secondary color |
What is a tint? | A saturated color mixed with pure white color (the more white you ad the more saturated the color is) |
What are Warm colors? | Red, Orange, and Yellow |
What are cool colors? | Blue, Green and Violet |
What are the nuetral colors? | Black, Grey, White, Brown, and Tan |
What are the six color harmonies? | Monochromatic, Analogous, Complementary, Triadic, Split complementary, and Nuetral |
What is a monochromatic color harmony? | Harmony acheived by using tints and shades of only one color |
What is and analogous color harmony? | Harmony done by using three or more colors that are next to eachother on the color wheel |
What is a complementary color harmony? | Two colors exactly across from eachother on the color wheel |
What is a triadic color harmony? | Three color that are located within equal distance of eachother on the color wheel |
What is a split complementary harmony? | This is created by using any color and the two colors next to the color across from it |
What is a nuetral color harmony | Any combination of blacks, grays, whites, browns, and tans |
