What happens during depolarization? sodium ion channel open, sodium ion move inside, polarity become more positive
what needs to reached before action potential could happen? threshold potential is reached
when does repolarzation happen? postassium ion channel open, potassium move outside the cell, polarity move back down.
what type of response is action potential? all-or-none response
what is RMP and what is its typical value? resting membrane potential, aorund - 70mV
why are local potential considered graded potentials? Because the magniude of the deviation from RMP is propotional to the mangnitude of the stimulus.
what happens when too much potassium ions moce out of the cell ? hyperpolarization
what is a synapse? Synapse is the place where signals are transmitted from one neuron to another.
What are the two types of synapses? 1. Electrical Synapse 2 Chemical Synapse
