What are the two kinds of software? System Software and Application Software
Define presentation graphics Programs that combine a variety of visual objects to creat attrative, visually interesting presentations.
What does DBMS stand for? Database management system
What is a query? A question or request for specific data contained in a database.
What program are spreadsheets made from? Excel
What are rows in a table called? Records
Define Integrated package a single program that provides the functionality of a word processor, spreadsheet, database manager, and more.
Name the four software suites Productivity suite, alternative office suites, specialized suite, and utility suite.
Which software suite is used mostly in a business situation? Productivity Suite.
What is a software suite? A collection of individual application packages sold together.
What is a user interface? the portion of the application that allows you to control and to interact with the program.
What does GUI stand for? Graphical user interface.
What is the most widely used integrated package? Microsoft Works
What is a dialog box? Provides additional information and requests user input.
What program allows you to create, edit, save and print text based documents? Word Processors such as Microsoft Word.
