| Word processing software | An application to create things like documents, letters and reports |
| Presentation software | An application to create presentations to show information to a group of people |
| Email software | An application to send doucments and messages to people around the world |
| Image manipulation software | An application to create, edit and manipulate images |
| Formatting | Changing the appearance and layout of a document |
| Creative Commons | Licence that you can apply to your work if you are happy for others to use it |
| Author | The original creator of something |
| Citation | referencing someone else’s work |
| Paraphrase | To copy something written or spoken using different words |
| Credibility | another term for how trustworthy a source is |
| Success Criteria | A list of things to include to make sure something is good/successful |
| Appropriate | Suitable for a particular audience and purpose |
| Biased | Only describe things from one particular viewpoint |
| DATA PROTECTION | UK legal Act regarding the handling of sensitive information such as personal details |
