Physiology

LIGAN GATED ION CHANNEL Are transmembrane ion channel that open or close in response to the chemical messager like a ligand
DIAPEDESIS Is the process whereby neutrophils migrate out of blood vessels and into tissue spaces.
CNS The central nervous system is capable of evaluating incoming information and formulating responses to changes that threaten our homeostatic balance
HORMONE A hormone is a mediator molecules that regulate the activity of cells in other parts of the body.
REFLEX ARC Is a signal conduction route to and from the CNS
HDN Hemolytic Disease of the New Born is an allimmune condition that occurs when a mother's IgG molecules cross the placenta and affect a fetus around birth.
HEART/BLOOD The heart, blood, and blood vessels combined are referred to as the circulatory system.
VASCULAR ANASTOMOSES In vascular anastomoses, blood moves from vein to other veins or arteries to other arteries without passing through an intervening capillary network.
LYMPHATIC SYSTEM A major function of the lymphatic system is to drain body fluids and return them to the bloodstream.
RESPIRATION/GAS EXCHANGE Adequate and efficient regulation of gas exchange between body cells and circulating blood under changing conditions is the essence of respiratory physiology.
ALDOSTERONE, ANH and ADH The mechanisims of aldosterone, ANH and ADH works together to regulate blood volume.
