What does CPU stand for? Central Processing Unit
What is the purpose of the hard drive? store data permanently
What is the purpose of the RAM? store data temporarily
What does ROM stand for? Read-Only Memory
What are the four ethics? trust, responsibility, fairness, respect
What are soft skills? Skills that allow people to work together with others.
What is the purpose of the motherboard? to connect essential parts of the together
What is input? a device to put information into a computer
What is output? a device to get information from a computer
What are ports? Ports are used to connect external parts of a computer to the computer.
What does RAM stand for? Random Access Memory
What is the purpose of the CPU? executes and processes instructions from input sources and programs; the brains of the computer
What is the purpose of the ROM? houses instructions for the computer on how to perform essential actions and functions (ex: starting up the operating system)
What is the purpose of the heat sink? it diminishes heat away from the CPU with built-in fans; it helps keep both the heat sink and CPU at a suitable temperature.
What peripheral draws cool air to the case of the computer from the outside? cooling fan
How many cycles per second is a megahertz (MHZ)? one million cycles per second
The two types of internal memory? RAM & ROM
Which kind of keyboard is designed and engineered to fit you, rather than you having to adjust to the keyboard? ergonomic keyboard
What are workplace ethics? a set of rules that help guide behavior and decisions in a work setting.
What is communication? how people give and get information; communication can be non-verbal or verbal.
