Systemic Circulation the part of the circulatory system that carries oxygenated blood from the heart to the rest of the body, delivering oxygen and nutrients to tissues, and then returns deoxygenated blood back to the heart through veins
Alveoli Tiny air sacs at the end of the bronchioles (tiny branches of air tubes in the lungs) where the lungs and the blood exchange oxygen and carbon dioxide during the process of breathing in and breathing out
Heart a muscular organ that pumps blood throughout the body
Aorta the body's largest artery, carrying oxygenated blood from the heart to the rest of the body

Inferior Vena Cava a large vein that carries deoxygenated blood from the lower body to the heart
Arteries tube-shaped blood vessels that carry oxygen-rich blood from the heart to the body's tissues and organs
