| Myosin | A protein present in muscle fibers that aids in contraction and makes up the majority of muscle fiber |
| Actin | A protein that helps cells move, maintain their shape, and contract muscles |
| ADP | (Adenosine Diphosphate) A lower energy molecule that can converted into ATP by the addition of a phosphate group |
| Flat bones | Broad, plate-like bones that protect internal organs and provide large surfaces for muscle attachment |
| Irregular bones | A type of bone that do not fit into any other category of bone, such as long, short, or flat bones |
| Short bones | Small, cube-shaped bones that are found in areas where stability and support are needed |
| Long bones | Hard, dense bones that are longer than they are wide and provide structure, strength, and mobility |
| Osteoblasts | Bone forming cells |
| Osteoclasts | Bone destroying cells |
| Cartilage | A flexible connective tissue that cushions joints and protects bones |
| Ligament | A fibrous connective tissue that connects bone to bone |
