Physiology

ORGANIC The term organic is used to describe the enormous number of compound that contain carbon.
PLASMA MEMBRANE Is a protective barrier that seperates the internal content of the cell from its external enviroment.
FLUID MOSAIC Is a model showing the molecular arrangement of the cell membrane
CYTOPLASM The crowding around the cytoplasm helps the molecules interact with one another and thus improves the efficiency of cellular metabolism
SKIN Contains immune cells as LANGERHANS cells which help identify and combat invading microorganisms.
SENSORY RECEPTORS (in the skin) Mechanoreceptor(for pressure and touch), Thermoreceptors(for temperature) Nociceptors(for pain)
LAYERS OF THE EPIDERMISE (L) Stratum Lucidium G Stratum Granulosun S Stratum Spinosa B Stratum Basale
FEEDBACK LOOP Senso Mechanisim, Integrating center, effector are all components of a feedback control loop.
CARTILAGE is a tissue in the skeletal system that can act as a shock absorbing pad between articulating bone in the spine
BONE acts as levers that muscles pull on to create motion.
