en l'occurence ex. Le budget est la responsabilité du parti au pouvoir - en l'occurrence les Travaillistes. in this instance/in this case ex. The budget is the responsibility of the ruling party - in this instance, the Worker's party.
tant que + proposition ex. On le respectait tant qu'il était riche as long as ex. We respected him for as long as he remained rich.
tant + proposition On le respectait, tant il était riche (car il avait une fortune de 100 milliards). due to the fact/because ex. We respected him because he was rich (he had a fortune of 100 billion).
au fur et au mesure que ex. Au fur et à mesure que la valeur de la livre baissait, le prix des importations montait. as and when ex. as and when the the value of the pound fell, so the price of imports rose.

pour + infinitif + moins ex. Pour être jeune, elle n'en est pas moins prudente. although, nevertheless ex. Although she's young, she's no less cautious.
[Noun]+ oblige ex. Prudence oblige, on marque un arrêt complet devant le signal «Stop». Used to indicate that [Noun] is necessary ex. Caution demands that you come to a complete stop at the 'Halt' sign.
pour peu que provided that (synonym for 'pourvu que')
tant soi peu a little bit (synonym for 'un petit peu')
