What are the 3 main phases during action potential? Depolarization, repolarization, and hyperpolarization
Which one of the 5 senses of the human body is known as the olfactory organ? The nose is considered an olfactory organ which contributes to the sense of smell.
What is the difference between the sympathetic and parasympathetic divisions? The sympathetic division stimulates the fight or fight response when triggered through a stressful event. The parasympathetic division stimulates the rest and digest response which activates during relaxation.
What is the hormone that affects sodium increase and stimulates high blood volume? The hormone aldosterone.
What are the two types of immunities found in the lymphatic system? Passive and active immunity
What are the nerves wrapped around the stomach walls? These are called the stomach receptors that signal the brain .
What is the hormone that stimulates the sensation of fullness? The Cholecystokinin hormone slows down the digestive breakdown.
What is an example of a artficial active immunity? An injection to receive antibodies to fight off an infection.
What are the three lung volumes that refer to the amount of air present? Tidal volume is the amount of air you inhale normally. Inspiratory Reserve Volume is the extra amount of air inhaled suh a deep breathing. Residual Vlume is the air that stays in our lungs after forced expiration.
What type of gland is similar to a negative feedback loop in order mainaitn an homeostatsis? The pituitary gland with help send signals to other glands to help stimulation secretion to manage normal ranges of hormones.
