Multimedia & Presentation Tools Vocabulary

TermDefinition
Animations visual effects, such as graphics, titles or bullet points, applied to individual items on the slide.
Audience the people giving or likely to give attention to something.
Content information made available by a Web site or other electronic medium.
Effect an impression produced in the mind of a person.
Multimedia using more than one medium of expression or communication.
Presentation a demonstration or display of a product or idea.
Preview To display beforehand with slide timings, animations, and slide transitions.
Slide Layout A slide format that determines the position of the object of a slide.
Slide timings the preset amount of time between slides as they advance automatically during a slide show.
Slides single pages of a presentation.
Sound effect sound other than speech or music made artificially for use in a presentation.
Storyboard graphic organizers such as a series of illustrations or images displayed in sequence for the purpose of pre-visualizing a motion picture, animation, motion graphic or interactive media sequence, including Web site interactivity.
Theme A preset collection of design elements, including fonts, colors, and other effects.
Transition the visual movements as one slide changes to another.
