Users store digital data for a variety of reasons,such as digital photographs, letters and emails.What is the difference between storage devices and storage media? A storage device is the hardware used to record (write and/or read) items to and from storage media. Storage media is the physical material on which a computer keeps data, instructions and information.
Give examples of storage media. Examples are hard disks, CDs, DVDs, PC Cards, USB flash drives, smart cards and microfilm.
